Toni Wi
Toni Wi is a Māori (Ngāti Maniapoto) writer and editor from Aotearoa, New Zealand. She writes flash fiction and is working on a novel about indigenous futurism.
Her work has appeared in Takahē, Mayhem, Flash Frontier, and the Year's Best Aotearoa New Zealand Science Fiction & Fantasy: Volume 1. She won the Margaret Mahy award at the Hagley Writer's Institute and is co-editing the 2020 edition of the Hagley journal.
Toni lives in Wellington amid a vibrant literary community. She hopes to start a PhD about science and indigenous knowledge and is creating a journal for speculative flash fiction. You can find her on twitter @toniwaiaroha.
