Samit Basu
Samit Basu is an Indian novelist, film director and screenwriter. His most recent novel, Chosen Spirits, an anti-dystopian novel set in Delhi in the late 2020s, was recently published in India, and is currently on the shortlist for the JCB Prize for Literature.
Samit has been writing speculative fiction for almost two decades and has published several novels, beginning with The Simoqin Prophecies (2003). His first US-published novel was Turbulence (2013). He also works as a film director, screenwriter, comics writer and columnist, and in non-pandemic years lives in Delhi, Bombay and the internet.
